The foundation year started with a very good note for me. Further the orientation week was filled with activities which helped me adjust into the new environment of the institute. The very first activity of the food carnival nearly opened up my mind as I had never in my life been introduced to a term like food-ictionary before and neither did I know that we could find various unconventional ways to show conventional stuff. Throughout the week we engaged into three activities namely food-ictionary, food-ilicious and and cooking a tasty tale. Out of all these activities, the activity in which I felt most engaged in was when we had to cook tasty tale around our dish. In this not only did my mind but also my hands and my entire spirit was engaged into. This activity did drain my energy to a great extent but it also gave me a sense of satisfaction when the outcome of our team was successful, as in the activity earlier to this our group was a little disappointed for going off the track and not presenting the outcome which was expected from us. On the other hand I am also happy about the fact that we met our first failure of this journey, accepted it and learnt from it. Overall my first year of college started with an extremely interesting and engaging series of activities and interactions, and in this process I ended up making great companions who gave in all their energy and time in order to make our outcomes successful. Every member of the group coordinated with each other very well and supported each others decision. All of us thoroughly enjoyed the process and we also got to learn a lot from each other. We all helped each other whether it was in the terms of technical support or any other minor issue related to the classes. In the start it was really difficult to understand the functioning of everything on this virtual platform even though it has been a while since this has become the new normal but as the time went by I saw my doubts nearly fade away gradually. Food carnival really did give me the chance to explore various digital platforms and help me open up in front of others and express my ideas without any fear of judgement and I am even more eager to know of what lies ahead in this new journey of which I have decided to be a part of.
